Course tracking (Hifz)
Course tracking is the mentor-based module for Hifz and similar courses. Each mentor (Ustadh) has a group (Halqa) of students. The mentor records each student's progress every day until the course is complete. It's on by default for Hifz and Hybrid institutions. See Institution types.

The daily routine
- The mentor opens Daily Log and sees their group.
- For each student, they record attendance (present, late, absent, excused) and the day's work:
- Sabaq. New memorisation, with the page range.
- Sabaqi. Recent revision.
- Manzil. Older revision.
- Mistakes and a grade.
- The Overview shows who hasn't been logged today, and who needs attention.
Tests and completion
- Juz tests record a student's test on each Juz.
- Passing the final examination completes the course.
- Daura (full revision cycles) can be repeated after completion. The completion workspace tracks cycles and issues the Sanad certificate.

A mentor with an Assigned scope reaches the students they mentor. A student sees their own progress, read-only, under Course Tracking in the student portal.
