Titles and copies
The catalogue keeps titles (a book: title, author, publisher, ISBN, edition, year, DDC class, language) apart from copies (the physical items). Each copy has its own accession number, barcode, shelf location, condition and status. A title shows how many copies it has and how many are available. The counts update themselves as copies are issued and returned.
Adding books
- One at a time, from Inventory Management.
- In bulk, from a spreadsheet with Bulk Book Upload.
- From Koha, by replaying a Koha database dump. See Importing from Koha.
Accession numbers are generated in sequence, and a title with no copies gets its copies created automatically.
Classification
Titles are classified with the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC). The library can add its own custom classes under Library Settings.
Finding books
Search by title, author, ISBN, accession number or call number. Sort by any column, and filter by status, class and language.
